Welcome!
My name is Kent Wadenpfuhl. I am a yoga practitioner, certified yoga teacher and certified Ayurvedic Specialist with a passion to serve others by sharing these ancient sciences and practices. I offer classes on Earthing Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Therapy Based yoga, Yin Yoga and meditation.
The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali state that the practice of yoga is comprised of eight limbs. The Eight Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga are: Yama (abstinence), Niyama (observance), Asana (posture practice), Pranayama (breath or life force control), Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (contemplation, super consciousness). I endeavor to share the first six limbs (the last two are experienced and cannot be taught) to help one achieve physical, mental and spiritual well being. As yoga is a practice and not a religion, it can be a path for any religious practice or none at all.
As the practice of Ayurveda is complimentary to a yoga practice, I offer basic consultations in practicing this sister science to yoga. An Ayurvedic practice consist of proper diet and other practices to maintain balance in one’s doshas (energies that define one’s makeup). By balancing the doshas, a person can live a happier and healthier life!
I received my initial training and certification from The Yoga School, LLC in Covington, Louisiana under the instruction of Becky Gellatt. I received my Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Basic Ayurvedic Specialist certifications from The Yoga and Ayurveda Center. I am continuing my training through various resources and teachers to expand not only my personal practice, but to share with others as well.
Come and book your first class or appointment and allow me to serve you!
