60 minute Earthing Yoga Asana class held in the Abita Springs Town Park, 22049 Main St, Abita Springs. The poses are performed barefoot on the earth without the use of mats (mats are optional for warm-ups and Savasana). This practice allows the yogi to “ground”. The practice begins with a round of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), progresses into a standing practice and concludes with a period of rest, Pranayama and meditation. This in-person class is held every Saturday morning (weather permitting) from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. If there are no registrations, the class will automatically be canceled. Check the “Upcoming Events“ box on the homepage before setting out if you did not register for the class.

What to Expect

Parking is free and available near the park entrance and the class location is a short walk from the parking area. Bring water or you could choose to drink from the flowing spring 😋. Insect repellent may come in handy as well as towels and sunscreen.

About Your Teacher

Kent Wadenpfuhl has been teaching yoga since 2021. Kent is certified to teach therapy based yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and meditation. Kent is also a certified Ayurvedic consultant. Kent discovered the benefits of Earthing over 25 years ago after changing to a barefoot lifestyle.
